All About Mrs. Grunwaldt & Ms. Peterson

Mrs. Grunwaldt

Education:
2000 BA Psychology and Sociology - Lindenwood University
2004 MA Professional and School Counseling - Lindenwood University
2006 30 credit hours in the area of Special Education - Webster University

Work History:
Some of my work experience has included Early Childhood Teaching, Children’s Services case management and mental health case management.  I obtained an elementary school counseling position with St. Louis Public Schools in 2006.   I was with the city for three years.  Which leads me to my journey that began with Ladue School District in 2009.  This is my 11th year as the lucky school counselor for Conway.  I truly enjoy working with children and families in a helping profession.  I also look forward to making many more memories with students, parents and staff in the Ladue School District!

Family:
When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my amazing and supportive husband as well as our two children.  Our son is 13 and our daughter is 9 years old.  Like many children, they bring us endless hours of joy.  Both of our kids are very active in sports including football, baseball, basketball, volleyball and softball.  Therefore, we spend a lot of our time at practices, games or tournaments.  I truly enjoy watching them do what they love.  I really wouldn't trade all the running around for anything!

Ms. Peterson

My name is Jasmine Peterson. This will be my 5th year in education and I have spent all 5 years with Reed Elementary. I am so excited to now be a part of the Conway Community! This will be my first year as a school counselor as I have spent my last 4 years in education as a classroom teacher at Reed. I have taught 1st grade as a long-term substitute, 3rd-grade for two years, and 2nd grade for one year.

When I am not at Conway Elementary I spend the other half of my time at Reed Elementary as their part-time counselor as well. While I spend my time during the week as a school counselor on the weekends I spend my time as a professional counselor and I work for a private practice called Changes Therapeutics in Saint Louis, MO. For private practice, I conduct child play therapy (ages 5-13), adult-individual counseling (ages 18 and up), group counseling, trauma-informed counseling, and grief counseling.

To kick back and relax I like to spend time with my Jack Russel Terrier named Lily! I enjoy hiking, Netflix, traveling, hot yoga, and spending time with my family!
